GARBAGE!!!!

    Folks!

Was out last night with a couple buddies and was dismayed at the sheer amount on garbage left by my fellow anglers. within 50 yards of where we set up I picked up a tall kitchen garbage bag worth of bottles/cans/spent propane’s/mcdonalds wrappers/cig butts/broken shovel handle and misc fishing supplies.

This is bloody ridiculous! does being able to drive on the ice bring out the slobs and yahoos? Learn a little about being good stewards of the resource or stay home…very disappointing to say the least.

I think this is why Len H does not ice fish. I concur….

Kudos for taking time out of your anxiously awaited fishing time to pick up after the ones that are 1, either just plain to lazy to clean up after themselves, or 2, just plain A**wipes. I’m going with # 2!
    Man that makes me sick!!!

Happens every year. For some reason the Croix see’s zero cop traffic in the winter but an over abundant amount in the summer. The Croix really needs some winter patrol

Wow – I noticed the same thing in areas where lots of people fish. Even in some of the smaller places I fish there are ALWAYS cig butts everywhere. Why do smokers feel like the whole world in their ash tray and they can just flick those things everywhere. I sure I will tick off some smokers, but come on, just think about it the next time you flick your butt. I am guessing most smokers just do it without any thought.

Every spring just before ice out on the lake in front of our cabin we clean up the whole lake as best we can. It is amazing the crap we pick up. The few slobs out there sure make up for the rest of us.
