I can safely say it wasnt 12″ friday, and it also was the first day the edges of the river on the MN didnt crack open from the weight of a 4 wheeler.

10.25 where I was. Came across a wet crack on the way out at 3pm in the middle of the river just N of the WI road access. All white on the way back in but the river is a long ways yet IMO for a truck as well. I do like the temps though so will not grip about it!

A solid 11″ today Bill. I’m guessing we’ll be driving on the river next weekend.

Every place I have fished since last night I have registered 10 to 10 1/2. That’s from Mn, middle, and Wisconsin sides.

After walking home last night from the Sconie side to Minnie side and feeling the ice (what felt like a half in drop) drop under our feet every 100 ft, I will not be driving out for a while or until I see a constant flow of trucks.
It might have been a high/low pressure coming through affecting the ice but it was a freaky feeling to feel a sudden drop as I walk. I know I’m over weight but not that over weight.
Be smart all and be safe.
