Does anyone know when they start commercially netting on the Prescot beach? It’s a blast to watch and see all the game fish they release. If you have any doubt about big walleyes roaming the Croix this is something you should see.

Hey Suzuki, That sounds like it would be fun to watch.
I’ve heard the stories but have never seen it first hand.
We did see one guy out there one fall during the River Rat tourney several years ago. He had about a 18′ jon boat with a giant tank on it. I assumed he was a commercial fisherman? That’s the same day we saw half a dozen 2′ to 3′ gar floating dead around Afton. I called the DNR and they said it was nothing to worry about and they’d look into it. I wondered if it was from netting??
If you find out a date and location please post it.

    Thanks,

    Ferny.

Prescott is in Pierce. The actual netting is across the river in Minnesota. Looks like Washington county. Might be Dakota. It looks like the Miss is the line.
I saw it 2 years ago on my way to Prescott landing. Turned around and went back to see. Amazing stuff.
