    Anyone fishing for them lately?

Thinking of heading over weekend after next to soak some bait and hopefully take in some colors if they’re around still. Passed over Taylor’s falls today and she’s looking wonderful down there.

Probably head out of Bayport and just hit up the plant area being that’s really the only spot I’ve heard of fellas fishing for them.

    Deuces,
I was trolling muskies on Monday afternoon on the river. Looked like there were at least a dozen boats just south of Beanies on the East/West breakline. I assume they were fishing for sturgeon. Been seeing some pictures recently so I’m guessing they are biting.

Bayports docks have been pulled. Might want to bring boots.

Fish are being caught from Stillwater down to the Kinni. Should be around Prescott as well, but I haven’t seen that so far.

    Good Luck!

If anyone has been getting some good ones, it’d be nice to seem some pics on here like people used to post a lot more of.

Not sure if you remember that last sturgeon pick discussion a handful of years ago but my guess it is why there haven’t been any or many since.

Cant blame one thread of some anglers expressing their concern on handling. That’s literally been the case since the beginning for many species on here. It’s typically always respectful and overall imo has given myself plus I’m sure many others better info on how to handle big fish.

Great numbers this Fall but the top end has been smaller for me. Biggest so far is 64 with a handful of others over 60. However, we are now over 300 Sturgeon since Sept 1. Pretty decent for 2 months of fishing. If the ice holds off, the next couple of weeks could be good…

I guess I don’t remember that Ripjiggen. Usually that’s just someone that catches their first one and doesn’t know how to hold it.

Don’t disagree Charlie and Deuces. Just sayin I can’t recall seeing many since.
So maybe it’s that or how difficult it is to load a damn picture on this site.
