I got a new one for Christmas, what is your all time favorite crock pot recipe. I’m ready to heat this baby up.

*If you like/love sauerkraut and want an awesome and easy recipe

Country style ribs, season liberally with salt, pepper, garlic powder/salt, or anything you’d like.

Sear and brown (braise) in a hot pan with a little oil.

Then smother and cover with sauerkraut in the crock pot for 4-5 hrs on high. Serve with copious amounts of the kraut used for cooking.

Any wholesome side goes good with it (mashed taters, green beans, etc)

A simple roast with carrots and potatos, lipton dry soup mix and a bottle of pepsi. Put it on high in the morning or low the night before and it will be ready by lunch time.

Pot Roast low & slow, roast carrots in the oven. Worshtishire sauce S&P-wait ’till you can cut with a fork, be patient.

Venison roast a few times through winter is my favorite crock pot meal. I will make shredded buffalo chicken also.

Super easy. One can cream of mushroom, one can cream of Celery. Cover 4 to six boneless pork chops in crockpot. 4-6 hours. Serve with rice or stuffing.

I don’t have a recipe but ribs in a slow cooker are way under rated. There are hundreds of em on the web but I like to do a dry rub. We always did these on our fishing trips. so easy just turn it on and go fishing, come back in and dinner is ready!

I’d like to kick up the heat in it but not sure what kind of peppers/hot sauce would be best in this, any recommendations?

I just add garden jalapeños and some Dan os spicy seasoning. As well as those sweet pepperchinies or how ever you spell that. That is one of my favorite way to make a chuck roast. Especially over some mashed potatoes with some bread to dunk

My go-to is a venison roast cooked Italian-Beef style. Find a quality* jar of spicy Giardiniera, a container of beef stock and salt. Or just follow any of the Italian Beef recipes and substitute. Serve on a sandwich with provolone.

    Not for a weak palette.

We made chili in ours this weekend. It was nice to throw it all together early in the day and eat at night.

I like a pork shoulder roast in the crock pot. Can of cream of mushroom soup, Lipton onion seasoning, and a cut up potato on a low heat setting. Makes good leftovers too.

Not a big fan of beef roast in the crock pot. It always tends to dry out. I’ve got a rotisserie I use for beef roasts instead.

This is my favorite as well. I usually serve over egg noodles. Ill have to try stuffing.

Lately ive been throwing chicken breasts in and making shredded chicken. Works great for tacos or a salad or a chicken sandwich.

Another thing I like to do is save bones from a rotisserie and make stock

That is all you need. This woman makes everything in the crock pot and it’s ALL delicious. My favorite are the soups. The chicken Fajita soup is incredible.

I’ll second the sauerkraut and country style ribs served with boiled potatos. It was a staple of hunting camp in WI when I was young.

I also like a venison roast with onions, garlic, taco seasoning, and beef broth. Cook until the venison easily shreds, and make it into taco’s. As a bonus there’s always leftovers for breakfast burritos the next day.

If you use campbell’s cream of anything it’s cheating!

Some of you may remember Reinhard, the retired butcher, from LSF. He did something similar and called it German Gumbo, same as your recipe but added cooked bacon and polish sausage. Very good!

The best crockpot recipe imo, is Beer Beef; Chuck Roast, can of beer, two beef bouillon cubes and a packet of onion soup. Throw that on low all day and you have the best shredded beef when you get home, and the leftovers are even better. Get some decent rolls and horseradish and you are in business, you can thank me later!
