I just got a 2009 Crestliner Raptor 1850 TE with the dual consoles. Ive had it out on the water a few times but can’t figure put how to fill the “bait” well thats on the upper front deck or the livewell thats on the front casting deck. There is only one control switch at the helm that turns on the rear livewell.

Also, at the drivers seat about shin high there is a control thats says “flow-thru” and open or closed. What is that control for?

    Appreciate any help. Thanks!

Is there a water spray arm in the compartments? If not and they have a drain it’s likely just a cooler.

Have you tried having that flow through value open and see if they fill?

On my 2002 crestliner at the end of the spray nozzle there sort of a cap that you twist to start the spray. You can turn it totally closed to shut off the spray. Maybe they had it closed off to use for storage. While the rear well is running try and twist the end of the spray nozzle

EXACTLY!!! I have an ‘07 1950 Sportfish, bought a few years ago, with a similar set-up in the bow. Rear livewell is under a bench seat- PITA to get at when fishing. First time I tried to fill the bow well up, same deal as you- scratched my head for a few days until a buddy at work told me to close the little valve on the rear spray bar. BINGO!!

What fishthumper said, mine was like that, and you don’t really expect that to be a shutoff on the spray bar. Also back under the deck where the aerator pump feeds thru the hull, i had a factory installed ball valve switch that split the front and back live well, you could run both, or bypass the front. Didn’t find it until i was fixing my bilge pump. Both were activated by the 3 way switch on the dash.

    Thanks for the quick responses!

I will try to see if the valve will cause them to fill and report back.

I’ve got a small baitwell on my 02 FH. so I can shut that spraybar off? that’s great news. I rarely put bait in there. it would be nice to shut it off.

    Update:

When the live well switch is turned on, I only needed to turn the inlet valve a few turns and it started to fill.

Still not sure what the flow thru knob does but I’m gonna continue trying to figure it out while chasing walleye tomorrow afternoon.

    Thanks for the help!
