I’m getting my boat in somewhere on pool 9 tomorrow. I figure with the sun and highs near 50 all the snow will be gone by afternoon. Gonna sleep with my fingers crossed!
I think it would be safe to say we are all sick of this sh!t weather! !
This weather bites. For a short stint a while back I thought I was going to be able to harvest leeches before opener. Aint going to happen.
What a difference a day makes . Had over 10 “ of snow at my place last night. 51 outside today , most of the snow is gone already. I think it’s finally over!
Ma and I were in Duluth the last couple days. 50’s and sunshine. Drove up to Two Harbors and checked things out. The storm last weekend took down a substantial amount of the cable railing on the breakwater. Shoreline trees had ice on limbs twenty feet in the air.
We stayed at Park Point Marina Inn in Duluth with our room on the harbor side. Sun all day long on the balcony and I can tell you there’s nothing better than a cold beer in the 50+ degree sunshine while watching the ice chunks buzz around with the wind. On the lake side of the road and point the storm has blown the beach full of ice….20 feet high in some places and easily an eighth of a mile to the water. Its just unbelievable who that storm did. The local weather up there was hollering about the Rochester area being decked with 10 inches or more when in fact it was little more than 4 inches, none of which we even knew fell when we pulled in the drive.
Duluth was supposed to have been delivered a foot or better during the weekend storm but we didn’t see anything like that at all. The next two days will get my yard back to brown and that’s good. I sure hope that old man winter kicked the bucket now.
Here’s ma and her ice mountains.
