Here’s a nice foursome. Up early and bored early so it was off to the shop to paint a few. These are the second smallest crank baits I paint and this crappie pattern is my favorite both for the airbrush and the crappie catching.

Thanks….but the weather man last night at ten said there were no polar vortexes looming this year so I’m hoping for an early and HOT spring. I will be ready when the ice has taken its leave.

Those look good and I suspect anything and everything will grab them.

I have an old crank bait in one of my “old bait” tackles boxes and it has a real nice crappie paint job. It might even be a Big O.

Thanks Kwik. There are a lot of crappie patterned baits around if one looks enough.

These are small, but are very effective when we warm up. I’m wanting to try them in immediate ice-out water with a slow retrieve and a small weight three feet in front of the bait.

Tom – use them for slow trolling over weed flats or casting? Impressive as ever.

Casting Chuck….real slow retrieve. Nice action on light line too.

Have you considered adding hooks to them? Might up your catch rate.

Just kidding Tom, those look great! Nice work!
