I take the chance of losing fish before I fish through that bulky POS.

I give the idea points for creativity.

Nothing like having a huge chunk of metal dangling down your hole to saw you off when you get a once in a lifetime fish on….(which, with my luck, would come the minute I crammed that monstrosity down a hole).

Isn’t getting them turned up the hole part of the fun and challenge of ice fishing?

For those that do not like the actual act of fishing, but want to get fish to eat….I believe it’s sold at a grocery store near you. Much easier and cheaper.

I’m guessing you don’t use a net during the spring/summer either

A open water net makes sense because you dont fish through the thing. This seems like a hard enough challenge to get the fish to go headfirst into it. If you have six inchs of ice and the coffin is 24 inchs long it will stick below the ice 18 inchs so when the fish is swimming around up by the ice as they often do when you get them close you will have to get the fish to go down 18 inchs or so to get through the hole. I really dont lose many fish at the hole to need it. Anyways whatever floats your boat.

I don’t fish ice any more but I can’t see the logistics of having something in the way of landing the fish. The few that came un-pinned while trying to steer up the hole would have come off even with something like this in the way. I didn’t see any thing in the video that tripped my trigger or that makes me think its worth the investment.
