A bit spendy, however it looks like it would be money well spent. Seems like a great idea. The plastic storage bin containers are just a PITA all around. Id get one for terminal tackle and jigs. They seem to be the biggest pain to store in my tackle box. I have them all over in bins, pockets, etc, so it is hard to keep track of where they are. Plus, like in the video they aren’t tight enough to keep hooks and some jigs from straying.

I’d love to see a spinner bait option. Another PITA for me.

yeah I’m looking for any way to be able to keep track of what I have… every season I seem to acquire a new tackle bag and my boat is for ever getting smaller lol I’m hoping more people post ideas again this year I have used a lot of them for my ice fishing stuff so I can get away with getting more into one of those plastic plano boxes then ever lol

That looks like a great option but I have one grip. Leave them out in the sun or rain and I can see condensation or water getting into the pockets. It would be a great pain to pull them all open or remove them to dry them out after every trip. Maybe I am just too picky about leaving water on my crank baits, but I open the boxes and leave them on a tackle table in my basement after each trip. It gets to be a pain when I fish 3+ days a week, but my cranks never rust.

That’s the first thing I thought after looking at the photos.

    “Additional Features Includes
    — Drainage holes to reduce built up moisture”

I was assuming that was the pockets, although it makes you wonder how they would then keep the hooks from poking through.

I use rubber bands to connect both trebles on all of my cranks and can fill the Plano slots full and have minimal tangles.

I’ll try and post a pic later if I remember. Saw it on In-Fisherman and was able to save room by combining multiple boxes of cranks into 1.

If you’re really having problems storing crank baits you can always send ’em to me, I don’t have any problems storing them in sunken trees, on rock piles, in the rip rap etc etc etc

Dave, those look like a good option – much better than a standard bait box.

One other option and slightly less expensive is this: http://www.crankcaddy.com
Fits in my magnum sized Cabelas tackle bag along with the other 3700 boxes.

I have one and it works pretty well, although the treble hooks can still occasionally find another lure, still much better than the traditional tangle box mess.

I might try yours too Dave and it would allow me to store one rolled up in the back of the boat somewhere tucked away.

I’m guessing this is the video you saw:

Sometime in the last year or so, the guy that started these crank bait storage canvas things posted about them on here. There was a lot of positive and negative feedback and solutions that he received, if I remember correctly.

I find the old thread on it, it looks like it is the same product. Except the company has maybe expanded a bit now in the last 1.5 years.

I purchased a couple these at a sport show last winter. They do work , but have noticed a couple things I don’t like . I filled one up with cranks, and when rolled up , the Velcro barely matches up ,and after being rolled up for awhile , the plastic has some memory , so when unrolled they curl up. Haven’t had any issues with hooks poking through. Overall an ok item , but not the solution I was looking for , which was to find a handy space saving alternative to plastic boxes

Being a stick bait fiend, I wish bass pro still made those old jerk bait boxes. Looked them up on ebay the one day and they were $60.

The never ending hope of being some what orginized on the water is still among us lol SMB those boxes look great I wish I had some of those laying around and with all this need for more orginization it looks like I may still have the chance to come out with a nice new way to do it! D I just have to think of it first now lol
