At brothers this past weekend for some time in the woods.
First off I am far from an accomplished woodsman/hunter !!!
But about 4 years ago I was invited/encouraged by my brother to come to his place and sit in a tree stand
And with bow in hand try and put some venison on the table ( I just love the meat and cheese sticks from Edgewood Locker) !!!
I have really enjoyed my time in the stands. The senses that kick in that I have not used in quite a lone time was very exhilarating !!
Well on this past Sunday it was a quiet crisp 25 deg morning and I started my walk along the trails in pitch black darkness for about 20 minutes
Meandering this way and that…cutting across Allies field and passing Alex’s stand and arrived at “The Oaks”
This is a gorgeous hillside full of….you guessed it.. Oak Trees and a few others… When the sun starts to come up and darkness gives away
to shades and outlines of depth and color it just makes my heart full and my senses alive !!

Oops.. I got off track a little bit… So in the video I watched these 3 coyotes play without a care in the world…

I tried to call them down to me as you can hear in the video but they couldn’t care less… then I shut the video off and googled
Coyote Call and found an audio call and played it on my phone,,, Well within a few short minutes I have all three on a straight line path to my tree stand..
I did not get this video as all I had this day was my cell phone…
Well there will be a few less killed deer/pheasants/grouse/turkeys on Dan’s land this year !!

It is not easy getting a shot at a coyote from a tree stand with archery equipment, so way to get it done. I saw coyotes almost every morning from one stand last year and could never get a shot at one, you can never fool their nose!
