Sure sorry to hear that, Steve. I haven’t been a posting member that long here, but I have noticed that you always set a great example of being positive in your posts. Without knowing you personally, I can tell you’re a guy of high character, as well. That said, you have many people pulling and praying for you for sure.

I too am in a neighboring suburb to SSP and would be honored to help you out if you need it with shoveling, etc. Boat is heading to storage here soon, but happy to offer you a seat anytime it’s not. Kick that cancer out for good this time! PM me if you need help with anything. I’ll do what I can.

Really sorry to read this, Steve. You’re in my thoughts and prayers.

As you know, I’m not far from SSP. Message if you need anything, not just shoveling.

Which means I’ll be putting the boat away this weekend. If we get a nice day on pool 2 and somebody has an open seat, it might be nice to get out and get my mind off things.

You name the day and I will pick you up. We will be fishing your spots though…

Secondly, I don’t know if I’ll be able to deal with the snow for a while. If anyone knows somebody in the South East Metro that would be willing to shovel some snow, I’d like to talk to them

Shoot me an address and I will swing by with the boy. After we’re done you can talk to him about old time hockey. whistling

Sorry for your news Steve bawling Nobody should have to deal with cancer once yet alone twice flame

If you need to talk, you have my number!

Feeling a little floor when I read this. You and Your family have had some rough times and sickening to see it happen to great people. I’m not in the vicinity for shoveling or running up with the boat. But phone is always on, day and night- I’m just a phone call away to listen! Best wishes and you’ll be in our prayers

    Steve,

Well, damn; I’m awful sorry to hear this Steve. You’re one of the ones here that I always enjoy, and I’m sorry to say I’m not closer. If there’s anything else you might need, I hope you know you can throw it out here and this crowd will get it taken care of. PM me anytime if you need a chat or encouraging word, and keep yourself warm and well.
    Thinking of you.

Well we’re making some progress. Today my daughter, the ever intrepid Sharon helped me work on the boat. Hubs re-packed, cylinders fogged, lower unit grease replaced, and we put it up on blocks in the garage.

I’m getting through the testing phase on my illness and after we know more, we can make a battle plan and fight this off.

My family has been wonderfully supportive through this….and that means my “IDO Family” too. You guys are great.

    Steve

Glad to see you getting some quality father\daughter work time Steve.
I hope she brought some of that good looking apple anything she has been tormenting us with.

That was fun today, Dad! (Despite the fact that it’s too early for us to be prepping for winter!) Just goes to show you you’re never too old to spend time working with tools and learning from your Dad. 🤗

So sorry to hear this Steve. You will surely be in our thoughts and prayers.

I’m getting through the testing phase on my illness and after we know more, we can make a battle plan and fight this off.

While I can’t make it your way to shovel, I would be more than willing to help you through all the information that will be handed down to you from you Oncology team. Your treatment goals and what to expect from treatment can be overwhelming. If you need or want any help with that stuff, just send a PM and I’ll give you my number. Unlike most of the team that I work with, I speak fluent farmer and outdoorsman. Sometimes providers lack that in their bedside manner.

From what I have seen from your posts over the years you have all the qualities of a cancer survivor. Staying positive, perseverance, mental toughness and faith are what ultimately wins the day. Good luck to you and your family.

Hey, guys, just an update on my Dad – treatment has been going well and we both thank you all for the kinds words, messages, and prayers! During a recent scan however there was something that looked a bit off with his kidney. He only has one kidney these days and they wanted to go in and assess the situation, that surgery was completed on Friday and the concern ended up being a small kidney stone. The stent they placed while zapping the kidney stone apparently shifted over the weekend… so Dad had to have another surgery which was done yesterday to remove the old stent and place a new one. He’s recovering at the hospital and hasn’t been able to log in or reply to any possible messages. I didn’t want anyone to start worrying so I figured I’d just post a quick update. A shifting stent is quite painful, so our family thanks you all for your thoughts and prayers during this bump on the road of treatment. Mom and I can’t wait to get him back home.

Thanks for the update Sharon! I’ve had cancer twice as as well, the last one was bone cancer. It’s incredibly stressful on the family, especially when piled on top of what you’ve been through.
There’s no doubt in my mind that he’ll be 2-0 against that crap and out slinging flies around this summer!

I never thought I would say I’m glad he had a kidney stone!

Thanks for the update Red! Once I get the grill out, you guys will have to come on down to the camper again! (Spring) waytogo
