Costco's igloo sportsman cooler

Just curious if anyone has experience with this cooler? I originally wanted to purchase the RTIC, but thats on BO until august. costco has the 70qt for $200.

They work well. My brother has the Sportsman 70 and he says it works better than his Yeti. I’ll be picking one up soon.

I have the 40. If you can score the 70 for 200, I’d do that in a second!

The 40 is a great cooler. I’ve had it for 2 years now. On hunting trips, I can keep it in a hot truck for days without needing ice. I took it on a houseboat trip to VNP last summer and just filled it with extra ice. 5 days later I opened it and used the ice to top off other coolers, I’d say no more than 25% of the ice had melted by volume.

BTW, do yourself a favor and buy Igloo’s metal baskets that sit in the top of the cooler. You can get them on Amazon, be sure you buy the ones that fit your size model. These are terrific for keeping your lunch meat, cheese, meat, etc dry and not having it swimming around in the melted ice water with your beer. I always hated that because stuff leaks and who knows what contamination could be picked up.
