Can anybody share some pictures of the inside of their Core house? Looking for some inspiration.

Also looking for some ideas on a DIY folding bunk system, keeping weight to a minimal. I have some ideas, but wondering if anybody had actually built anything that worked out well.

    Thanks

Have you thought about just using the brackets ice castle uses for their folding bunks? I see people selling them all the time on facebook for cheap. One of the few things ice castle actually did well….

I have been planning my theoretical lightweight “early Ice Fish House” for years. Have not made this yet but I think it would work well.

I basically wanted to cut weight anywhere I could. My plan is to basically have a cot style system. Let me know if you have any other questions. Otherwise this is the drawing I made.

Hey Joe, that’s pretty much the same design of the “cam o cots “”, i have a couple sets of those and work nice and are pretty comfy, I would think you could buy the cots and then mod brackets to swing off wall and lock in outer pipe and i would bet that work. Only down fall are cots are Kinda spendy, but are very durable.

Joe I have that bunk set up in my Zack shack. Two bunks are rolled up,up front. They were made with steel pipe and canvas.

Great idea with those roll up bunks. I think I can see a support pole for the bunk in that Zack shack. I was think of putting the bunks along the long walls, so I would need some sort of support for the outer pipe when they are deployed.

Hooks from the ceiling? I’m not sure if fold down legs would work with the “softer” bunk system.

Also, glue and tapes would be the way to go for hanging things in a core type house. Would anybody have recomendations for a glue for fiberglass to aluminum?

Would a hook on the ceiling and 1 on the pipe with a piece of chain work?

Mike, what kind of canvas did you use?
