Ice fishings around the corner. Hallelujah. Mainly keep bluegills and then a few northerns spearing.

Not going cordless. Fish one lake 99% of time and walking to garage with power to clean them.

Option 1: stay with rapala wooden handle filet knife no power had for the last 14 years.

Option 2: rapala electric with cord

Option 3: mister twister electric with cord

Will be cleaning 20 sunfish to every one northern

    Your thoughts?

Go the Shoko or equivalent stir and buy the corded Hamilton beach carving knifes. Much better motor and will last for many more years…and cheaper

I still have my corder Twister. Im not sure if they still use one of those coil up cords on it but they were/are really bad. It was a heavy weight hanging 2′ off the end of the tool. I replaced the cord easily with a 8′ straight cord and it was much better to operate.

However, I really did not like using that bulky of a knife on my panfish and have resorted back to rapala rubber handle fillet knives. Every now and then I will use the electric on some walleyes.

I guess Im a fan of a sharp fillet knife over an electric, but if you try the twister you may want to replace the coil-up cord.

I love my Rapala deluxe. It will be a bit of a learning curve, specially on panfish. But once you get it down, you will not leave much meat behind at all. The first few panfish with an electric knife when you’re used to a standard will look like Edward Scissorhands did it after a few cocktails. I like that it can be used on 120v and 12v with supplied cords.
