Fished lake Mcbride Saturday with fair succuss. Could have caught as many six inch bluegill as we wanted but decided to pich spinnerbaits nd jigspinners for bass. caught a dozen or so small ones and one 16″ walleye (my first from Mcbride).
However, my dad and his buddy pounded the typical Mcbride crappies all day long. No sizes to brag about but they still fry the same as a large ones, just more cleaning.
Other than getting soaked in the occassional rain shower it was a fair day. My Lowrance hotspots gps maps worked as advertised and my 99$ Atlantis sports cam II worked about as expected with a narrow, maybe two foot visibility.

What time were you there Saturday, maybe we traded waves (hand, not water LOL)??? We started in the North arm, but putzed to the South arm for pleasure ride. Didn’t go under the causeway. No rain when we were there, off the water by around 11:30 AM. Launched at the 4X ramp on the South side of the North arm.

Glad you had a good one.

We launched at the ramp by the beach about 10:00 or so and worked our way over to the north arm. We were in a little basstracker. Be glad you missed the rain, the first shower came about 3:00 and we happened to be parked under a tree. Ten minutes later it was sunny again. But around 6:00 we were in the middle of the lake when one of those rains, that when your driving a car you have to pull over hit. My boat only does 2.4 mph under trolling motor speed. so neadless to say we got wet. I’m sure i’ll be back soon since my outboard is out of commission for awhile. Maybe we’ll trade waves again.

I’m sure we saw you, all kind of a blur right now. We were in a blue/silver Alumacraft w/2 outboards. We were no wake, but thankfully there was a chop on the water and it allows a little more speed. We were heading to the south arm about 10:00-ish.

We didn’t tuck into any bays or anything like that. I’m sure I saw you guys.
