Copper scrap

    Haven’t turned in scrap for years. Always took mine to the places in S St Paul. Anyone know of better scrap yards. Must have about 150lbs of copper. Prices were about $2.25 lb last time hoping its much higher now.

    When hou call for prices be sure to mention you have over 100 lbs. they love sticking the small guys from off the street with 10lbs.

    Copper is around 4.70 right now. You should get a nice check.

    Bare #1 copper wire is 3.35 down here in Austin on Friday at our scrapyard, got 2.10lb for insulated aswell.

    with increased prices comes increased scrutiny as well. Our last two loads the guy really rummaged through it trying to find reasons to not pay #1.
