For Thanksgiving I am hosting at my house this year. I am planning on cooking the bird in an electric roaster. I am curious how big of a turkey will fit in the electric roaster? I will also be cooking the bird and an oven bag. I realize or maybe better ways to cook this turkey, but my family does not want it smoked. I have eaten turkey cooked roaster and thought they were great. I have other plans for the oven. Any tips are appreciated. So back to the main question, how big of a turkey can I fit in there. It is your normal Hamilton Beach roaster. Thank you all in advance.

We’ve done 20 pounders in our electric roaster but we skip the bag so it browns better. If I am not mistaken I think the big bird will take around 5 5 1/2 hours [stuffed] in the electric roaster, those things are super efficient. Smaller birds take less time of course.
