    I was toying with the idea of what to do with two fly rods I have. One has a loose handle and the other is my grandpas old old eagle claw I got when he passed away. I really don’t use either but I’d like to try and convert them into ice rods. Anyone have any experience with this? I’ve built my own fly rod before, but just wondering if anyone has done this from a fly rod? the one rod is a 4 weight with a super flexible tip and the other is a 6 weight that is very stiff…. Any help would be appreciated, I’d like a little project this fall cool

    @randyw1

    I believe Randy has done this few times over. But he did just leave on a work/ prairie dog excursion so give it some time I’m sure he’ll respond eventually.
