I am buying a helix 5 or 7 for kayak, I am wondering what I all need for ice fishing, is the a kit, or sp I have to buy everything separately, if so any inputs?

Make your own. No need for anything fancy. Drill a separate hole for your ducer, don’t break through, just deep enough to get water to fill it. Below is a Garmin, same concept, all you need is a mount for the screen. I’ve used this one on ice and also on a MinnKota with US2 ducer.

Blue Genz box, a battery, and the ice ducer.

This. You could even modify your regular transducer to work if budget minded is your goal.

I bought the ice bundle a few years ago and the case it came with worked for the first year. Then I decided I wanted it on a Ram mount so I could move it from my truck, ATV, canoe and duck boat and went with a genz box and couldn’t be happier.

Search for “Helix Shuttle” in the search bar and you’ll need the XI 1521 CHIRP transducer
