Stopped at Lake McMcoaughy last night on the way back from Denver,Co. Went over the dam. Never saw so many people on the dam. We fished 3 hours into the dark. Minnows and lighted bobbers.Got 4 fish ,all over 23 in long.Just plumb full of eggs. Did not keep them. Turned them back. Every one was catching big fish off the dam,and in the boats. If I guessed. I would say there was 200 fisherman on the dam some snagging some pitching some cranking. And a 50 boats trolling If there,s any lake in Nebraska they should close for the spawn.It should be this one Lake McMconaughy. It’s a massacre out there.
