Competitor 205 sport

  • #1996823

I just ordered a Competitor 205 Sport and I’m going to put a Minnkota Raptor shallow water anchor on it. Question is do I put a jack plate on it so I can mount it to jack plate or just drill holes in transom and mount it there. I don’t need jack plate for motor set back I just not sure if I want to drill holes in transom. Any thoughts on this.

I would avoid drilling holes into the hull to mount it unless it’s your last option. If you’re not getting a jackplate, then look into a “sandwich” bracket that fits between your motor and hull/transom.
