    Your not going to hurt that Yamaha one bit by trolling with it if you can obtain your desired speed. Putting hours on my new 4 stroke would not be a concern to me. Look at the tiller guys that run 4 strokes..not that many have kickers..they just troll with the big horse..but it’s your money do with it as you choose. God luck!!

    I had a 9.9 kicker and got rid of it after 2 seasons.

    80# Terrova up front and my 140 Suzuki has troll mode for speed control, throw in a drift sock and I can manage pretty much any trolling scenario I can think of.

    Sounds good. Does 1 trolling sock do the job or one of each side to even it out?

    One dealer 2 hours away quoted me $22,399 out the door. My nearest dealer matched it and second nearest would not. This includes all fees but before taxes obviously. Took a while to find a good quote to work with. Most quotes were in the 25000 to 26000 range at first.

    I had everything else I needed so only wanted boat, motor, trailer with everything water ready.

    31$ each for rod holders. I think about 500$ for cover. I’m going to have a cover made. Didn’t want factory one. I will also be getting a couple of the alumatrac things.

    I would definitely go with a custom cover. Especially if you store the boat outside.

    Mine won’t ever sit outside but will definitely be moving around on the trailer often.

    I have the 185 Tiller. Unbelievable boat. tracks extremely well. The troll down on the Yamaha works well allowing me to control speeds in forward or reverse. Let me know if you need more info
