First post for me here. Neat lookin’ site. I’ve been a regular on the http://ifish.net/ board as Fish mojo. My background has mostly been what you guys call chasin’ the red-meat trash fish (salmon and steelhead) here in the Portland area. I’m starting to focus more on the walleye scene. I’ve had some good trips, mostly to Boardman and Rufus, but haven’t done well in the below Bonneville stretch. Looks like Dan is the man down here from his posts. Got my boat winterized for now (I/O Spectrum) so I’m dead in the water til spring. If anyone has an open seat, give me a email or pm. I’m ready, willing, and able.

That’s a Brad’s wiggler. When Storm screwed up and ruined the wiggle wart line, these guy’s from the Northwest started making these- exact duplicates of the old as far as I can see. great lures for steelhead and walleye too from what I’ve been told. Dives 10-12′. 4 Sizes from the old Pee Wee wart up to Mag Wart. No interest for them in me. Just like the lure (I’ve got over 70 warts and Brad’s, can’t help it- I’m a lure junkie!)

This lure resembles an old lure called a tadpolly thats made by heddon now. I know some old walleye fisherman who used to troll the barge channel on the slope at lynxville above the dam and litteraly hammer the big walleyes on these old tadpollys in 4″ and 5″ sizes. I know, thier my in-laws and i’ve fished thier with them. Its hard to find them on the shelves now but i know heddon still has them for sale just not in the tiny tad size which i hope they bring back, they just killed the smallmouths in crawfish color. Heres the site http://www.lurenet.com… go to heddon then scroll down to the tadpollys. I’ve seen em catch fish.

Those are copies of the old Wiggle Warts, Mossydan. The Tadpollys (which I have a box full) have a more rounded divivng bill and a longer body. You can see more on-line at http://bsfishtales.com and buy them at http://www.jacksinternational.com/ . Jack’s has more colors than are posted on Brad’s site.
Note to moderators- I don’t know if you have a policy regarding links to non-sponsers. I have no vested interest in either company. Just sharing lures I like.

hey Mojo, i hope your not talking about me. Im relativly new to the site, about a year. Theres lots of guys who live up north that are alot more versed on walleye fishing than i am. Check the guides out, they know what thier doing plus others in the posting of recent action and whats working from day to day. The guys around the mississippi river bottom can and do catch walleyes. Its a very good fishery around here.

We actually encourage the exchange of info in the way you’re doing it. No point in having this place if everything is censored and focused by advertising dollars. As long as people don’t come in and make posts that are blatant advertising nothing around here gets deleted if sharing info is the goal.

I love that purple color pattern on that Brad’s wiggler lure.

Purple Pearl Splatter? Flaky Doctor? Almost as creative as the reefrunner line of colors. I still get a kick out of fried chicken and monkey puke… no matter how many times I hear those names.

My all-time favorite? Cheap Sunglasses. Can’t catch a darn thing on it though.

I have half a dozen cheap sunglass colored reef runners in my box. They don’t work for me either. When I ordered that color from Cabela’s they were the only color on backorder so we are not the only ones that thought it would be a good pattern.
