    Dan,

How is the bite out there recently?
I would love to see more pics of those hogs from out there?
Are you in prime time right now out there for the spring bite?

I tried to fish out of Rufus this past weekend. Got blown off the water but there have been a few biting there. More and bigger fish up at Irrigon right now.

I hit the river at Rufus again on the 29th. Picked up a few decent fish but nothing over 24″.

    cfwalleye,

How have you been fishing these eyes out there? What depths?
Are you fishing near a dam at all? As you figured, I am not from around there at all, but that area always has my interest. Someday I plan to make it out there!

Mostly I’ve been dragging some spinners until I find fish and then bladebaiting. We found fish this past weekend from 25 feet up to less than 15.

I heard that people have been having some luck getting bigger fish with cranks but that didnt’ work for me.

I’m fairly close to a dam but not right against it.

Say, maybe you should contact B-Fishin-Tackle (Dave Hoggard) and see if you can do some “regional testing” for them and try some of the “magic” these guys are using out this way. See if it’s a regional thing, or a walleye thing!

I’ll GLADLY go out there and do some “testing”.
