Just returned from six days on the Columbia. What a great river! We caught a slug of males between 18 and 24 inches. Very nice fish! Also released a couple of females.
We watched a power line that spans the river be rewired from Washington to Oregon. Seems like the boys are fearless on heights. Watched as three men descended on an extension ladder suspended 310′ in the air and then they stepped on the power line and the pulley used to pull the wire on top of the tower. Oh, did I mention it was raining at the time? Obviously no power running through the lines but gracious!
