Why is it the Irish are good at all sports. Their football team in the BCS playoff this year while nobody noticed. Suppose it’s because they aren’t the only football game being played on TV Saturday afternoons like back in the 60’s and 70’s.

Meanwhile UMD destroys the Sioux.

It was my son’s first chance to attend a hockey game last night…pretty cool that he got to high-5 the Badgers players. (He’s in the dark gray shirt.)

College hockey is a great forum for kids. Pretty laid back yet entertaining. Just keep him away from the student section unless you want him to learn some interesting words and how to use them.

Fighting Rodents take on Ohio State at 4 this afternoon on FSN. I haven’t checked but tickets should be available.

You can’t call them the Sioux if they suck that bad.

That is correct, they have 1 regulation loss this season which was at #13 Northeastern. They are currently riding a 7 game unbeaten streak. This is basically Motzko’s dynasty team (which is stacked at virtually every position). UMD and St Cloud are likely the two best teams in the country.

Wonder if/when SCSU ever puts it all together? They’ve had great teams over the years, but the best they could ever muster was one Frozen Four appearance.

UMD Bulldogs on the other hand have won their last two NCAA National Championships starting the season as not much more than an afterthought. Last year I think they just slipped into the NCAA tournament and few gave them a chance. They then went on to win it all again. Duluth Bulldogs hockey…now that’s a great program!

I’m watching Georgia dismantle Alabama. Just surfed in to see a 2-2 tie in the second. Didn’t see tho if anybody is in the seats.
