This is a single batch but we double everything for a fish fry.

Popeyes is my favorite. I think it has some dill in it. I also add some peanuts.

This recipe is great. Enjoy! I love Cole slaw but rarely get good stuff in the restaurants.

Never had Popeye’s slaw. Love the chicken. I’m prolly 100 mi from the nearest one.

Peanuts in slaw I’ve never had but I’d try a bowl if I saw it somewhere.

    Rudolph’s as in the restaurant.
I’ve been using it for about 6-7 years now. I think it’s fantastic

My variation sometimes is adding raisins and dry mint, with a healthy portion of shredded carrots. It’s on the sweet side

KFC set the bar for coleslaw…not that I’m bias.

Thomas, that isn’t the recipe for KFC but you did say “Like”.

The Bluff’s in Hager City has good slaw…just a touch of horseradish in it.

BTW I rate slaw as follows.
    KFC
    Good Slaw
    and lastly…
    Everything else.

Rudolphs is good for a bottled brand but I usually make coleslaw dressing at home just cause I have everything I need in the fridge/pantry anyway. This is a good recipe for those looking to do it themselves, thanks for sharing.

Celery seed is also a common ingredient in coleslaw dressing.

I like making a pickled slaw for fish tacos and pulled pork sandwiches.

I like the celery seed in mine but momma don’t. She doesn’t like anything that gets stuck to her, don’t know how I ever lasted then. shock

Oh, I meant she doesn’t like anything that gets stuck in between her teeth. doah

Worked at a KFC in Stillwater 30 or so years ago. I put a serious whooping on the cole slaw and those little parfait cups!!

    I still love KFC slaw!!

On a side note, mixing the secret ingredients with crushed crackers and frying fish with it was epic!!!

Glad you like it. I just got it from my aunt. She brought it last weekend for our fish fry and it was a big hit. Thought I’d share it. I like to cook so when I have a good recipe, I’ve got to pass it on.

They are called sliders now in 3 flavors I believe.

I would try it Thomas, but since I’m the only one that eat slaw, even a small batch would go to waste. (Yeah, I know).

I hear ya. I’m the lone slaw lover here too.

I actually go to the supper clubs 45 minutes from our house, just cause they have the macaroni salad, Cole slaw, potatoe salad & tapioca pudding on their salad bars! Can’t get any of that stuff at home unless I do a fish fry and someone brings it.

Heres my go to recipe, I dont measure anything as I go by taste. Finely chop cabbage and a half carrot, the smaller the better in chopping size, Put Chopped cabbage in a bowl, then add a little milk about 1/4 cup, white sugar, small amount of mustard powder, and a small amount of (white) ground pepper, remember add an ingrediant and taste. Mix well until sugar is dissolved then add a small amount of white vinegar, be careful on the white vinegar, This comes out close to kentucky fried’s and is simple enough to add another ingrediant or two.
