I am in need of new ice cold weather gloves. I have Klim gloves and if not on the sled with handwarmers on I have cold hands. Over the years I realize that technology has changed alot. So what are your experiences with certain brands and what would you recommend? Thanks for inputs, Ray.

I have the Clam Renegade gloves and the fingers are so stiff I have a hard time bending my fingers. I have a cheap pair of gloves that are water proof only by the plastic glove in-between the 2 liners that do not breath so my fingers get wet from sweet.

I recently purchased the Fish Monkey Yeti Premium fishing gloves. They are as warm as my Outdoor Research Mittens. My hands get cold quickly and these are amazing at keeping your hands warm. I also like my Ice Force heavy duty gloves.

Good question. I used to be so on top of this stuff. My go to for working outside this winter has been simple insulated deer skin gloves. Im not bragging.
My snowmobile gloves are more specialized and my favorite pair not made for 10 years so I am out of touch. I get by with an old but good shape pair of Ice Armor gloves to get me out on the ice then switch to jersey’s once Im out there. I have a couple random insulated fleece gloves that work when I can find them.

I have been using Cabelas electric gloves for a while, they do work well until the battery dies. I don’t see them listed on the website now

    I use three gloves regularly.

Striker Combat for when it’s super cold or when I’m traveling, unloading, etc. Best gloves I’ve ever owned, and they should be for that price. They’re a lot better than the Striker Climate or any Clam gloves I’ve ever owned or used. I really like that I can hole-hop for walleyes with these gloves too. Handing the rod, reel, bail, scoop, and graph is no issue. I have to take them off to open crbnkbait clips or handle bait, but they slide off easily.

Wool fingerless for when it’s less cold or when I need dexterity, like when panfishing: Eurolarvae, tiny plastics, frequent knots, etc. Here’s the pair I bought. One of the best $20 fishing purchases I’ve ever made. They’ve been machine washed about 50 times now.

Latex medical gloves to keep the wind and water off the hands. Sometimes that’s all you need.
