Browsing at thorne bros today i came across these. What in the hell lol. Me and some guy watched a you tube video together because we were both flabbergasted. I’m going to be giving one a whirl this year, just to try something different. Fished as a top water it just floats under the surface or weight your line and hover it off bottom.

Yeah, I always like something out of the ordinary. They range from 25 to 36 bucks depending on size. Not sure how you’d store one. I didn’t buy one today but I will.
I went to stock up on river plastics today. The season is about here.

At first glance I figured it was a panfish plastic. I’d definitely try a 1/4”-1/2” diameter one through the ice!

So it’s literally just a soft plastic and it costs that much? Is it at least a pack of them?

Soft plastic with a hard center that’ll hold the hook so it doesn’t get pulled off. The 3 pack was a smaller size and 36 bucks. The large one was 24.99 and was just one. But it’s big.

If pike take a liking to them they’ll be awfully expensive fish food.

I say a little prayer to the fish gods before I throw jerk baits and chatter baits. I’ll add this bait to the list. That prayer seems to work 40 to 50 percent of the time jester

I was there last Wednesday and saw those too. I thought they were a woman’s sex toy!! Just kept walking. whistling
I did pick up a 16″ Ketch carbonate bump board and some Scientific Angler hemostats with large finger openings you can use with gloves. Those were upstairs in the fly fishing dept. Used them twice already and they are nice for panfish.
Oh and a 2025 Sportsmans license. I have a lifetime one but still need a new hard copy and all the stamps each year.

So what are your go-to’s for plastics?

It depends on the day, but I restocked my kietech paddle tails in both 3 and 4 inch, I grabbed a few more eye candy because that’s what both our 29s came on, I always have some bfishn plastics so be it if they are paddle tails or the twist tails. But honestly most fish I get on river bites is on a 3 inch Mr twister. I have so many plastics that it’s almost sad to think about. I have 2 storage compartments packed to the gills with plastics in my boat. I switch between bass and walleye plastics. And I have 2 huge home depot storage totes in my garage full of bulk plastics that I buy when sales hit.
