I’ve been making coffee cakes for many years. These are the home made Polish recipe coffee cakes. I make poppy seed coffee cakes.

I have made fruit and brown sugar as well. Poppy seed are just a little less time consuming.

From start to finish is about 6 hrs to get them done. It’s time consuming.

This is the first time I froze them then vacuum sealed them.

If you have a mix, what’s the time consuming part? I love good coffee cake.

    It’s not a mix.

The dough is made from scratch, it needs too rise, the Pacifica needs to be made, each coffee cake needs too have the dough rolled out on a cookie sheet then the toppings are added and folded.

Its a 6 hour process by the time things are cleaned up and put away. I could do a double batch and that would save some time.

If you know a shortcut that can save time, I’m all for it. Thanks.

The pail in the picture is a 22# pail of poppy butter. Same thing everyone uses to make poppy seed coffee cakes. This is only the filling for the cakes. Everything else needs to be hand made. The dough and Pacifica are hand made.
