ugh can’t upload many from phone. Here’s the biggest hammerhead michelle caught. Off to guided shark trip early. Guide said they got 10 this morning. He’s antsy.
Sweet. Can’t wait to see some pics from the charter!
X2, give us some details of the trip when you get back. Ill be down there april 2nd. Always looking to do some fishing but the wife and brother in law never want to go.
I agree on the bonnet head, Our neighbor in FL eats them and they weren’t too bad.
Looks fun.
John, you are correct. I didn’t think they were hammerheads, but that’s what the locals fishing said they were. Our guide set us straight.
The curse apparently applys to shark charters. We got 1 hour to get one. The boat next to us, same fleet, caught 2 bull reds a shark or 2 and a ray.
Michelle got a black nose shark up to the boat but the line broke as the guide went to grab it. He says he brings them aboard usually unless they are unruly.
Dang, getting homesick. I used to live just 5 miles south from there in Indian Harbour Beach. I wonder if my favorite pier side restaurant is still at Cocoa Beach that served a fresh catch of the day while watching fishing boats come in.
Wish us luck. Leaving dock soon on Obsession Charters. I’m hoping for the impossible, a cobia. Maybe I’ll dangle my bait just under the boat.
Blah. Bottom fishing charters kind of suck. That’s a lot of steaming on a crowded boat.
