I have a bowrider that isn’t set up for fishing, so I’m mostly using my Helix for chart plotting and navigation in Southwest Florida. The base map is not really sufficient for safe navigation, especially in the intracoastal waterway. The two CoastMaster maps that cover my area are the U.S. Coastal and the Premium Florida. The Florida map is $300, as opposed to $150 for the U.S. Coastal map. What does the Florida map have that makes it worth twice as much as the U.S. Coastal map? Has anyone had experience with either?
