I am heading to Clearwater Sunday with a friend and will be targeting bass, pike and walleye. Second to that, we may try for crappies. I am new to this lake and am looking for any tips or areas to try. Not looking for anyone’s secret spot, just hoping to catch a few fish with an old friend. Thanks in advance and I will post a report on how we did after.

Anyone been by the access by BJ’s lately? I am guessing i could still walk out? Heard the access was in bad shape before the snow melted.

Decided to drive out there and check out the access myself. Access is bad, but still able to walk out ok. Fishing was tough for crappies only finding 4, several nice bass (including a big rock bass) and a bunch of sunfish. Had a fun time sight fishing in the weeds.

Years ago I fished Clearwater and used a small private landing across the lake from the public access. Does anybody know if that private launch is still there and operating?

    Thank you.

If you’re referring to the one at the east end on Hwy 24, it is still open. Haven’t used it this year, but there were a few rigs parked there a week ago.

    Any current reports from Clearwater?
