Yellow bass bite is on at Clear Lake

    Fished Clear Lake Monday and Thursday evening for several hours each trip. Caught around 40 each time out with some small walleyes mixed in. They were caught on small minnows under slip bobbers and with 16th. ounce jig and twister tails. Water temp. was just above 60 each day. This bite should last for some time as they are just about ready to spawn.

    Ill second this. We showed up at the island at 645 on Thursday nite, fished til 830 and had well over 100 yellows. Most are in the 8 inch range, but we did have a half dozen at 11 inches. We were just wading, and throwing 1/16 oz jigs/twisters, no need for bait.
