Clear lake IA Aug 10

This outing I tried pulling cranks as the bait did not work for me a couple weeks ago.The results were about the same not good.We fished from 7 am to 11:30 and caught 3 decent yellows and 4 that were just keepers and 1 nice silver and 2 short walleye.All our fish came on jointed shad raps with firetiger by far the best.Just about all the fish were caught before 10 am it just totally died after that.In my opinion is going to be slow until fall as the food source in the lake is at its peak.Usually by early fall the yellow fry will start to get to big for your 14 to 16 in walleye and the yellows will start going on there fall feed binge.I know my camera has been just taking boat rides as of late.I am hoping to make another north Ia trip this coming weekend I need to catch some fish
