Spent the afternoon on the lake looking for some Walleyes. I took my 4 year old for some fun…and fun we had. We had to work for some fish…but we finally got into some. I could not get a fish to go on a crank bait. I switched to bouncers and spinners with minnows and got bit immediately. This is the second trip in a row that I could not get anything going on cranks. I am wondering if the water temps have the fish a little off from normal patterns….I only had 60 degrees in the middle of the afternoon. Anybody else seeing this same thing…or am I just not keying in on what they want? Anyway….great day on the water…and the little guy got to reel in a bunch of fish. We boated 21 Walleyes, 3 Yellow Bass, and 1 big Bullhead. Could have kept a limit….but I let them go. Biggest was 17 inches. I have to work on the little guy and catch and release….he was stompin around because we weren’t putting them in the livewell
