Fished Clear Lake today, Monday afternoon. There was ice in Macintosh ramps so put boat in at Ventura landing. Ice was clogging channel to big lake as well as South shore. Fished near west side of small lake near fishing grate. Number of people on shore fishing.
Saw a number of yellow bass and small walleye caught. My boat partner caught a 12 1/2 inch walleye (released of course). Slip bobber with minnow on hook.
Watched large ice sheet come across small lake to North shore. Before we left, went through channel to big lake so it’s open now.
Water temp in middle of small lake was 39.9 and near grate was 44.7.
There were not docks in at the ramps yet, but I assume with the fishing tourney this Sunday some will be in by then.
