Went over with the intentions of catching some yellows for the son’s Food Class in school. He is in a group of 5 guys and they wanted to have a fish fry for them. Well, we started out anchoring around the island like everyone else. We would catch one every now and them, but nothing fast. Had a nice SE breeze, so we decided to pull in the anchor and drag a chartruse 1/8 oz. jig tipped with a crappie minnow drifting across the lake That was the ticket. According to my GPS we was drifting .05 mph across the lake. Water temp was 66.7 when we ended our day of fishing. We came home with 47 jumbo’s. Ended up with a ice cream pail heaping full of fillets for the boys to fry up at school. Sample of what we caught in pic
