The walleye fishing has been very good with spinners and crawlers and leeches in 9 to 13 ft also on some days cranks will put fish in the boat. The yellows and white bass have slowed but if your willing to move around there are fish being caught on the deeper stucture rocks and artifical weed beds. The water temp this past weekend was 67.For those targeting catfish you should find them going well also as each trip I have picked up a couple targeting the yellows and walleye

Thanks for the update. I was up there on Fri. with friends and we caught 25 nice sized yellows on minnows in deeper water along with all the 13″ walleyes that we wanted, no keepers. It was a great day to be on the water.

I would love to fish Clear Lake more, but I don’t know the lake well enough. Where would you suggest going on the lake for walleyes? I have fished with a buddy on Billy’s Reef and had decent success. Any other spots to focus on?

I would just focus on the 11to 13 ft of water and troll crankbaits or spinner rigs untill you find active fish. The structures in the lake will hold fish but still the majority of fish will be just roaming the lake and the key is to cover water. This year the water is clearer than normal and the fish are liking the deeper water.Hope this helps

Joe, hear any new reports on the walleyes? Son and I are thinking of running over this thursday for a father-son day together.

Kraig, My wife and I went up yesterday, got there about noon had lunch went to get some bait and a license for my wife and the skies let go with heavy rain. So took a nap and went out in the evening caught some yellows and one small Wally.
Then today went out and had some hits but nothing. Wind had switched to the northwest and was beating us up so we headed home.

    Update for Clear lake:
Fished last night for 3-4 hours and had one nice 6lb walleye and that was the only one of the night. Also the only walleye we caught all night as they were hitting extremely short. Yellows were found in the deepest part of the lake and could not keep them from taking the worm. Just curious anyone else having better luck on getting the walleyes??

My old man was up there last weekend moving his cousin into their new cabin just SE of the island. Can’t wait to go up and spend the weekend up there. Will be out trying to pound the eyes.

Been tough for our boat as of late on the lake as there is quite a lot of traffic on the lake. Spent most of today on it with no eyes but will give it a try tomorrow.

I hear ya on the boat traffic They should have ordiance like some of the lakes in WI. No water skiing, jet skies, tubing, etc until 11:30am and not after 5:30pm. Would make some fisherman happier

Talked to my old man. He said him and his buddy were up there on sunday. Caught a few walleyes under 14 and 3 decent yellow bass. That was from 630am to 9am then the wind came up and the city folk as he likes to call it came out on the lake with their big boats. Myself personally I call them yuppies.
