No I went to Clear lake and ice fished small lake hoping to do one ice fishing field report.I came close got two yellows and a nice 143/4 in crappie. But on my way home I seen the same bunch you did I may have to give that pond a look the open water. I am glad the hard water season is behind us this was the worst ice fishing I ever remember. There just was nothing going within forty miles of here

That is a nice crappie, to bad you couldn’t have got a few more of those We haven’t really done that good on crappies during open water on Clear. A couple here and there. Always catch yellows. Last year on Good Friday the son caught 3 nice crappies and we both caught alot of yellows. Hoping to be able to put the boat in again on Good Friday

Thanks has anyone heard if the lake levels will drop significantly enough with dredging this year to prevent a person from getting a boat in on the lake?? Just curious as I heard it was going to drop a bunch but who knows??

Was at our cabin at Clear Lake Sunday. We watched the ice go out. We are on the SW side of the lake. The strong SW wind opened the north shore and then the open water worked its way accross the lake towards the south. The waves and rough water really ate the remaining ice up, including some sheets that looked like they were 6″+ thick. Cool to watch.
