Clear Lake Sept 18

I spent the day on the water with a good friend and his young boy. Yuk we trolled cranks searching for the walleyes all day with only 2 17 in fish making it to the boat and one long range release all our fish came on the north shore along the rushes in 9ft of water one fish on a jointed #5 fire tiger shad rap one on a chartruse walleye diver.We did notice guite a few boats off Billys Reef anchored I believe the yellow bass were going I hope to have a report on the yellows in the near future

I’ve been able to scratch a keeper or 2 off Billy’s using bait all year with some days better than others. Kind of depends on the day, waves and clouds always help. I still think trolling is the way to go most days this time of year.
