    Hit the lake for 5 hours this morning. First time this year we didn’t boat a walleye at all, but we did manage to keep 34 yellows and 2 crappies. We were using crawlers and minnows.

    Is fall a better time than right now? I need to get out of these southern mn. lakes and try Clear Lake.

    Seems to be a toss up. The eyes are there you just have to really work for them right now. Spring and fall seem to be the best. Problem is right now after 10am all of the joy riders are out and it gets real rough and real busy!

    Good to hear a report about Clear Lake. I thought maybe everybody quit fishing there. Hopefully the crappies are still around this winter in good numbers. It was fun catching them along with the yellows, perch and walleyes through the ice.
