I need some help. On the small lake of clear lake where are the rushes located? I talked to a few guys saying that the crappies have been biting very good there, and the yellows are biting everywhere in 6-10 fot on the big lake.

    Thanks

Pretty sure the rushes are located out from McIntosh Woods State Park.

The rushes start near the landing at Macintosh and follow the point around into the big lake all the way east to the end of the trees before the venetian village channel. Straight out from the pumphouse and Baptist Camp is all rushes. You will also find rushes north of Farmers Beach along the north south shoreline leading to the narrows. I would start by the pumphouse area, north shore means more sun and warmer water. Mud bottom areas also warm up quicker which brings in the bait and the fish follow.

Yes they are around the outlet and at fisherman reef. My neighbor was there on Wed. evening caught lots he said but NO keepers. (Take plenty of minnows he said)

Don’t know if you have heard of the carp kill in the marsh area just west of the ventura grade. I drove by on Wed and boy did it stick. People were still fishing off the grade, but they had to have nose plugs
