Clear Lake kind of has a bad reputation earned over the last several years. Is the walleye fishing back? DNR says it’s on the rebound, what do you guys have to say on that subject? Brushy and Clear Lake are about equal distance for me, but fishing Clear Lake is easier in some respects sooooo I’d prefer to go there. Any advice or news you all would care to share would be great. Thanks in advance. 
I do believe I’ll be there the first Saturday in May again this year. Last year was kind of a bust; lots of fish, but mostly yellows and a lot of eyes in the 9-11 inch range. I don’t know if those fish will be eater sized this year or not, typically I would say no, but Clear is so loaded with baitfish that they might make it.
Clear Lake used to be a can’t miss trip for me every April right after tax season. Now I guess I’ll just have to weigh my options. Brushy is coming on and there’s always the big river. Why can’t it be spring for about 6 months??
