Clear Lake, Iowa – Yellow Bass in the fall

    Has anyone ever fished for yellows in the fall through open water on Clear Lake? I have never fished Clear Lake before and am considering taking a trip down before ice. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

    I don’t fish for them but I do catch them fishing for walleyes. I don’t think there is as many as there was a few years ago. Guys lately have been using bobbers with crawlers or pitching small rippin raps.

    There are a lot caught while trolling for walleye. No matter when you are fishing for the yellows, you have to move around to find them. Then catch them, and move with them.
