Anyone ever fish Clear lake down by new Prague? Playing golf on Friday at noon and thought I might hit the lake for some bass.
Is it worth my time ( I know, I’m fishing so YES but are there any fish)?
    Any experience appreciated

I live in NP and have never heard of Clear Lake? Did you mean Cedar? Closest Clear lake that I know of is in Waseca.

I had to look it up as I had not heard of it either. But it is there a little west of Montgomery. Thinking I might check it out for ice fishing.

Ha! Oh yeah! Sorry, it’s not a very popular lake around here, I forgot it was even called that. Cedar and the Faribault area lakes get most of the attention. I have driven by it several times. I believe it’s your standard 4-to-a-pound panfish, bass and hammer-handle pike lake. Cool little bar & grill on the lake, too.

Yeah just read about it on lakefinder. Latest survey was 2018 but tons of crappies and sunnies. Average crappie size was almost 10 inches which isn’t a bad average, but then again that’s 6 years ago. Max depth is only like 16’

Like I say, I’ve never been on it, but I’ve been by it many times. I don’t think it lives up to it’s name in the heat of the summer, but none of the lakes around here do. Hopefully it’s not as green now that summer’s winding down. Let us know how you do!

A bunch of fish died in it a few years ago due to fertilizer runoff or something, was a Dead Sea a couple winters ago but not sure if it came back
