I would have to double check with my contact at Clam but I think that they only made the Scout XL this year in the 40th Anniversary limited edition white colored house. you can check around and see is places like Cabela’s, Bass Pro, Scheels, Runnings, Fleet Farm, Thorne Brother, Reeds, or Marine General have a left over one from last ice season. if you are open to other models I would look at the Legend XL Thermal. it is the same sled as the Scout XL but the only difference is that the house opens off the side of the sled instead of the end of the sled. the Legend also gives you a larger fishable area because of this. also with the Legend XL the tub of the sled is gray in color inside so it is easier to see small things like jigs in the bottom of the tub if you happen to drop them. now if you are set on a flip and go house with no poles to extend another option would be the Kenai Pro Thermal. the plus for this house is that it sits higher then the Scout does. All three are nice one man houses. I personally run the Legend XL Ice Team Edition and one of the Kenai Stleath Thermals for my small one man houses. I have had a few different Scout models over the year but really like the Legend XL better so that is why I ended up selling off my Scouts I had. If the Legend XL was never made I would have a Scout XL as my main small one man house when I have to walk out. The Kenai Stealth is my sight fishing one man house of choice.
