Question on the clam sceptres: looking at getting a sceptre for a walleye jigging rod and am considering either the 34” medium or the 32” medium light. I’m in central minnesota so not targeting giant fish in general. But would the ML be underpowered? Any opinions would be great! Thanks!

I don’t think it would be under powered just don’t use heavy lures with it. stay to more of a jig instead say a spoon of some sort or say a jigging rap. medium would be better for spoons and raps. if you are able make it to Rogers stop in at Clam and look at the different rods on display. there is a show room with a display of most of the products that Clam offers. Just remember if you do stop in and see something you like you would need to order it from the Clam website or you could even stop over at cabela’s and see if they have it since they are just down the road from Clam.

Couple of questions bout the clam showroom.

If I order online can I pick it up that day?

Does clam still offer a veterans discount?

I do a lot of online ordering and pick up at the facility in Rogers and you get an email once your order is ready for pickup. In my experience it is usually about 1-2 days later.

Can’t answer your veterans discount question though.

Mahtofire 14 is correct. once you place your order online it takes a day or two to be processed and released to be picked. once the order is picked and ready you will get a email saying the order is ready to be picked up so don’t come in until you get that email. as for the veterans discount it would be best to call customer service and ask them directly. if it is offered it would be a discount code to use at check out but only they can answer questions about it as I don’t know anything about what they offer for discounts.
