Has anyone used this setup or think it will work? I understand it’s the round peg in the square hole but will it fit and can you close the bag easily with the head unit attached? The Clam bag sounds pretty big from reviews.
I tried using the Trophy Angler round bag. While it looks like it’s good quality it doesn’t fit the head unit like I thought it would. The head sticks out way too far on the Pro-Pack so I can’t zip the bag. So now I’m back to the drawing board. Unless I can trim down the mounting arms on the Vex Pro-Pack, the helix 7 won’t fit. I do have a spare old Genz box if that would be better for the Clam bag.
The last resort I guess is ordering the pack set from Humminbird for $250.
